Watching Snow Melt
Arm and wrist
Resting on the pillow
That covers my heart
I lie here in bed over
These long slow days
Watching snow melt
Snow melts in whimpers
On foggy chill days
Like yesterday
Today the sun has peeked
In and out
Caressing the pines
Caressing the pines
Snow slightly murmurs
Warm wafting through
Mountain changes daily
Mountain changes daily
Much like my hurt tired limbs
Snow daily is less full of
Puffed arched pilings
Now she is
Scantly cladding gray rocks
Brown needle risings
With dusty
salt sprinkles confused
Looking back at me
Pines Trees
Still thirsty from their
Parched hopeful days
There were no snow dripping pines
Or rivelets trickling down the mounds
Mysterious this
Watching snow melt
As it goes away from
Itself cold and glistening
Into white cloud trailings
Lingering tentatively on
The ground
The ground

Beautiful, Karla. Sending much love and healing energy.
Such a lovely, moving tribute to the fine art of slowing down into full presence. A wise and gentle reminder to us all. May deep and loving healing come your way.
Thank-you, Anna and Alchemical Horse for your loving, healing wishes! Thank you too, Anna, for your reflective comment in seeing how slowing down, as I have during this time, leads to deeper access to being Present!
It is true always and maybe more so now in our fast paced, multi-tasking world that we all NEED is to just Be for the sake of Being, noticing Life. That is what our world needs, our work needs and our Loving Hearts.
